As I mentioned last week, the Met Ball is about to celebrate all things punk and in honor of such festivities, it would stand to reason to be inspired by anarchy, zippers, and general debauchery. I was reading up on Refinery 29 this am and came across some designers I've never heard of, but boy am I listening now.
Max Fowles is a husband/wife duo based in LA that live quite the glam life, but they also make some fabulous clothes. I am obsessed with these electric blue waxed jeans- do they not scream Tripp circa 1976 or what? Love the short length, love the waxed denim, love it all. Here's to your new fav jeans- if you buy them, send pics! And yes, the profile on this duo on Refinery 29 is beyond pretentious and not very "punk" but oh well- all is fair in love and fashion...
