Five for Friday: The Late Edition

Whew hello Friday late as it is...today was a DAY, I tell you. Wow. Just wow. Lottery anyone?

So I'm a bit tapped out and fried, but wanted to give you this week's edition of Five for Friday, because you deserve it and I am well in need of a break from the 700 emails and phone calls and the like. So here I go, and here you go:

Nars Misfit eyeshadow- Sure I'm a bit of a hazely/green eyed girl, but green eyeshadow is super pretty on most of us, great for the Springtime for a little fun pop, and a fun way to switch up your every day neutral eye. I myself look better in brighter colors on my eyes and can't do anything too brownish- otherwise, I look half asleep, and not in a sexy way. I adore Nars Misfit (yes Nars again, can't help it that everything they make lately is magic), a lovely duo of a light and creamish yellow (called Ecru by Nars)  for the base and a mermaid green (called Emerald by Nars)  for the big color pop. It looks scary to those of you that are not super into "makeupy" makeup- but man, it's gorgeous- my advice is to do the buttery lemon shade (a bit different than the shade on your monitor)  all over your eye, and then dab the top of your lash line on your lid with the green, and blend upward for something neutral. If you're bold, you can cover your whole lid with this green for an instant bit of Ariel. I love it and you will too...pretty with all your light colored neutrals this Spring as well as a lovely way to oomph up that LBD. Green is my all time favorite color and I'll take it where I can get it.

Zoe Karssen tees-  It's definitely time to think about great tees for summer, and I am hearting these fun little numbers by Zoe Karssen, available on the Club Monaco site, newly launched this week (rejoice), Ican just tell these are yummy and love the neckline- perfect for a bit of a tan and some layered necklaces...love and live for.

Ren F10 Smooth and Renew mask- So a few weeks ago, I popped into Blue Mercury, looking for an exfoliator but secretly dreading yet another step to my routine. The lovely lady there told me to checkout this mask, which you only need to do for 10 minutes twice a week, and boom- lovely, clean, and glowy skin. I hate gritty exfoliators, so this one has a bit of the grit but not enough to make you feel sooty. It's a fabulous product and the best part is it works for sensitive skin. Get this.
Ethnic bedding- Warmer temps and longer days tend to bring out my inner bohemian, so it's no surprise I'm seriously crushing on Indian inspired and ethic/bohemian bedding. I am dying for something along these lines and there's some great options all the way from the high end at ABC Carpet and Home to midrange options at Anthropologie to cheaper versions at Urban Outfitters. I need to snuggle in summer of love style, just minus the LSD and dirty hair. Then again...ha. Do love these looks, though...fantastic way to spring clean- out with the heavy down comforter and in with something light and airy and free spirited.  Oh and this type of bedding looks somehow great undone- an unmade bed is the perfect accompaniment to lazy summer mornings. Yes.

Sara Swanson watercolors- I found these on one of my random runs around the internet, and damn if these are not fabulous ways to infuse some art into your home without breaking the bank. Think these are just lovely and happy and divine. Everybody needs a little art in their lives, and these are tres chic. Not to mention well priced.

Think that's all for now- my eyes are crossing from computer overload and I'm about to embrace the digital Sabbath tonight and rest my weary peepers. All the love to all of you for a fantastic few days off- thus wraps our Five for Friday, here in the borough of Brook, with the weekend well underway. XO
