Yo, Friday. You know what time it is.
It's another gorg day in New York and I'm happily plucking all of my warm weather wear from the closet- and from living in Miami for 7 years, I'm well sorted for the heat. But that doesn't mean there's not room for more, and I'm happy to bring you my five picks for this fine Friday- and here they be:
Guerlain Terracotta Skin Healthy Glow Foundation- Oh, bronzer. Sometimes you make us look orange and radioactive. What's a girl to do? Go get yourself some fantastic Guerlain liquid bronzer- it's the most genius thing in the world- it's creamy and feels great on the skin and is light and natural enough to make you look like you simply had lunchtime outside rather than spent the day inside Three Mile Island. I adore this stuff and think it's a fantastic product for the bronzer shy. Sure it says foundation on the packaging but don't let that scare you. It's quite sheer and will work well over any tinted moisturizer you're digging these days, and there's two shades- one for blondies and one for brownies. Go get that.

J. Crew ballet flats- This one's easy. I've searched far and wide and though my favotire ballets are Repettos, J.Crew's version are lovely and low cut and super cool. I adore this hot pink color here- something this bright could almost act as a neutral and will look particularly great with navy, khaki, or whatever else you have in mind. Simple. Chic. Boom.
Toss Designs Makeup bags- On a recent jaunt to Blue Mercury (the most dangerous store on Earth in terms of temptation), I stumbled upon the cutest little nautical makeup bag from Toss and simply had to have it. The freshness of the navy and white is super cute as is the little anchor on the zipper- plus it's flat enough to go in your bag without bulk but roomy enough to fit a bunch of goodies you need to get through your day. I don't see mine on the site...but some other super cute ones- link below, and love the preppy ikat above:
Emerson Fry- Um, hello. This line is one of the best I've seen in a very long time- it's classic, it's cool, it's ethnic, it's feminine, it's unfussed. I love everything about it, and I do mean everything. Not sure where you can buy any of it besides on their website, but I am having many heart attacks over their effortless looks- I want all of it.
The Negroni- Come on- when's the last time you had one of these? Recipe in the link below. It's a chic summer drink, sure it's an acquired taste, but it goes well with a pretty dress, bare legs, and big sunglasses. I'm so having one of these later today. Gin, vermouth, and Campari. Most. Def.
