Hi, Friday...I so love a holiday weekend- and with Passover and Easter coming our way, I'm sure you do too. It's a lovely day here in LA- had a fantastic few days of shooting with some dear friends- very pain free and excellent and overall yums. I'm excited to be on the way home to NY and then off to Philly tomorrow to pass some stuff over.
I know you all are busy dying eggs or making Charoset, so here are my Five for Friday with haste- enjoy:
The cap toed shoe- In my various jags on Pinterest (of which there are many), I've spotted an absolute ton of cap toes popping up on the street and in all of the magazines. I'm loving the gold toed high heeled numbers, but also dig a ballet flat with a cap toe too(at Lanvin)- very, very chic look and shaping up to be a huge trend this Spring. You can splurge on the clear Loubous shown here,or as per usual in this high/low world, Nine West is making a great version as well- see the rich looking gold toed number with caramel leather, and the neutral version with dark silver is also quite chic. They're also doing white leather with silver that feels very Paco Rabanne from the 60s, but for today. Love. Oh and they're $79, so why not buy two pairs?
You know how I love me some Nine West not only because their chic staples are comfortable, but you'll still be able to afford food and shelter all month long and then some.

The Vogue Magazine story on the Ritz Hotel in Paris- Since you all may have some time to catch up on some reading this weekend, definitely check out Vogue's fantastic editorial on the Ritz in Paris, which is about to close and undergo a massive renovation. Though I have never stayed there, the stories of this place are legendary, and the acute attention to detail and service are beyond lost these days, so was mesmerized by tales of bespoke and luxurious service in a gorgeous atmosphere. And the photos of Kate Moss, shot by Tim Walker, in a sort of Marie Antoinette style decadent couture moment against the elegant backdrop of the hotel are sheer genius. Not to bring up Pinterest agin, but prepare your pins ladies and gents- this story is one to share.

St. Tropez Self Tanning Mousse- So you all know it's self-tanner season, and like always, I'm on the lookout for the best self tanner that doesn't stink or make me have the weird sweats, not to mention the inevitable streaking. This mousse from St. Tropez is fairly foolproof- make sure to buy a mitt to apply it and you'll be golden brown in no time. It dries instantly, doesn't stick, and provides lovely color- love the look of it on my lilywhite gams. It's not exactly light in terms of color, so if you like to be fairly bronzed, go get some of this- it's lovely.

A white stretch button down tunic from DKNY Pure- Like many women, I love a classic white button down to wear with everything from leggings and platform boots to jeans and ballet flats to a pretty summer skirt or cute shorts. But since I happen to not be built like Twiggy when it comes to my top half (or my bottom half for that matter), I struggle to find button downs that don't gap or pull- nothing worse than that. I adore this one from DKNY Pure, it's light and stretchy and long enough to wear with skinnys- the collar is perfect and it lays very well when buttoned a bit higher to buttoned a bit lower with a bit of bra peeking out. Adore. It's a perfect shirt that is great for traveling when you want to be comfortable but still stylish and fresh. This basic will never go out of style- and it literally feels like you're wearing pajamas- in a good way. Just don't style it like they did above. Yuck....I hate gratuitous belting, don't you?
