Hiya, Monday. It was a supreme day in the city today- weather was top of the heap and I've got my windows open enjoying the cool night air. This is my favorite time of year hands down and I'm super stoked for the change of seasons. The city is buzzing with Fashion Week and the general Fall back to business thing- some may dread the end of Summer Fridays but I find the crunchy leaves and move from iced to hot coffee a dream, as well as sleepier and cooler mornings and a craving for Simon and Garfunkel or Van Morrison or the soundtrack from "Rushmore" or something equally cool and sedate.
I've been watching the shows online and there's some beautiful things. Thought I would share my Pinterest board with you so you can see some of my fav look so far- one distressing thing on the runway is a wedge haircut as shown below by Balmain, and also being rocked by superish Fredja and none other than our favorite "girl", Lena Dunham. I'm a bit scared of this do, I gotta say. I love short hair but the Dorothy Hamill thing is a force I'm not sure I want to reckon with. Do you?

Oh and I also entered a contest through the Wall Street Journal to create a board of things that inspire us and stuff we would like to see on the runways. It was fun making it, and since I'm a bit of an insomniac, saw me through a few sleepless nights. Other non snoozy types take note- Pinterest is amazing if you are a turner and tosser. Love it. I doubt I'll win but it was fun to put it together through the lens of color, muses, and the like. Here's that one:
